If you wish to attend the premier DMF event in Australia, and possibly
the world, please email

January. Please include:
- your polo shirt size
- whether you are interested in attending a get-together the evening before the
event (not crucial)
- whether you expect to be attending the SGI-provided dinner on the first evening
(this one is, for catering purposes)

- The venue is a few minutes walk from the CBD. There is
vending-machine car parking for a limited number of hours, and
all-day parking at nearby multistorey or car-park paddocks; there
is no free parking. There is a taxi-rank one block from the venue,
and nearby bus options.
- Thanks to the generosity of our host and other sponsors, there
is no charge to attend this event.
- Visitors from some countries may require a personal invitation
in order to obtain an Australian visa. If this applies to you,
please let us know ASAP.
- Accommodation Suggestions
- We have been offered reserved rooms and a discount by the
Travelodge Hobart.

- Lunches will be provided by SGI (thank you!).
These will be located in the CSIRO building in
Castray Esplanade, two buildings east of IMAS.
- Coffee is available at a café across the road.
- The meeting room is fitted out with a projector; you can bring
your own laptop or plug a USB drive into ours.
If you need
something extra, such as a whiteboard or an Internet connection,
please let us know well in advance.
- Internet access
- Attendees with Eduroam accounts should be able to use them to gain
wifi Internet access.

A guest wireless service is available for those without Eduroam access.
Ahead of the meeting (preferably two days before) we need the following details:
- Fullname
- Company/Organisation
- Email address or mobile phone number (in international format, eg: +61 1 2345 6789 for Australia)
- Tethering ("personal hotspot") to your mobile phone
Presenters are encouraged to provide a copy of
their talk where possible, to be placed on our web-site.
Hobart's weather in February is usually warm during the day
(maxima 17 - 23° C).
