DMF Users Group Meeting number 9 - Invitation

University of Tasmania, Hobart, Tasmania, 7-8 February 2017

We are pleased to announce that the 9th DMF User Group Meeting will be held Tuesday 7th - Wednesday 8th February at the University of Tasmania in Hobart, Australia, the same venue as for 2016. The location is the University's IMAS building on the waterfront:
  • close to Salamanca Place and right in the city, so more options for accommodation, places to eat
  • IMAS building is very new and has all modern conveniences (even if some are a bit weird, maybe too modern for some)
  • easy to find and easy to get to being close to the city, plenty of taxis etc

Now we need offers of presentations, and the more the merrier, up to the point where we have to make choices!

While we are likely to have speakers from SGI, we can't rely on them alone to provide a program - it is a DMF Users Group after all! So please consider whether your site has something to say which could be of interest to others.

Ideas for topics for other people to discuss are also welcome.

Please send a title, brief summary (a couple of sentences) and expected duration to dmfug-meeting©hpsc·csiro·au as soon as you can so that we can fill in the program, which will grow on the web site at http://www.hpc.csiro.au/users/dmfug/Meeting_Feb2017, to be joined by other information as it comes to hand.

We will again try to organise a block of rooms in the one hotel, ideally at a discount. Stay tuned...

We plan to organise an informal get-together the evening before the meeting for those who have arrived in town early, to renew acquaintances. More details to follow.

Please feel free to contact the organisers (Nigel Williams, Robert Bell, Robert Mollard and Peter Edwards) at dmfug-meeting©hpsc·csiro·au for further information, make suggestions and/or to register.

When you do register, we will need to know:

  • your polo shirt size
  • whether you are interested in attending the get-together the day before
    (not crucial)
  • whether you expect to be attending the dinner on the first evening
    (this one is)
  • whether you want to take part in the group hotel booking

We hope you can join us in Hobart.

Regards - Robert & Peter
